Moving / Transferring Followers

  Hi there,

  I have recently been able to get my primary blog up and running all thanks to the wordpress happiness engineers without whose assistance this was not at all possible. However, I have another help required to get the process finalised and carry on blogging for the times ahead.

  I have imported the contents from my old blog to the new one and the process if complete and my new blog is up and running. However, naturally I do not have my followers here. I would like to have my followers moved to my new blog. I have a total of 49 followers. I saw a thread here where a member from the WP support team moved the followers for someone on their new site. This is the same help I require.

  I have posted a banner on my old blog that I have moved to a new address and also put up a post there on the old blog and also promoted my new blog on social media.

  However, I shamefully do not have many followers and hence would not want to depart from them and so was hoping if someone could move my followers from the old blog to the new one.

  Hi qmsidd,

  That’s no problem, I’ve transferred your followers over to qmsidd.wordpress.com.

  Your email subscribers will continue to receive notifications of new posts but WordPress.com followers will only see updates in the Reader — they will need to subscribe to in order receive email notifications.
