moving website from premium .com to Premium .org

    We recently, created a new website https://stfrancisfields.org/ that we will be transitioning to over the next month or so . Our current site https://stfrancisfields.com/ premium is up for renewal today. Since we are not going to be using the .com site we do not want to pay the annual upgrade fee.
    Questions:
    1. will we lose our data on the old site, if so for how long can people access it
    2. can we set up a link that will route people to new site if they type address of old site, if so how
    3. Do I have to take action to cancel premium on old site or will it automatically expired

    Hi @eowarre, can I actually recommend keeping both domains? Otherwise you’ll lose any links to the existing site. We can help you cancel premium on the old site and redirect the domain to the new one.

    You do need to be logged in as the upgrade owner to do that, though. Do you mind doing that then opening a chat at http://wordpress.com/help/contact ?
