Moving widget from footer

Hi, I want to make my widgets more visible on my home page. At the moment, you have to scroll down to the end of the page and press a circle button with a “+” sign on it, to open the area for the widgets to be visible. However this sign is tiny and a lot of people have said they don’t know how to follow my blog because no one is clicking this plus button! I don’t mind footer widgets but I want this part of my blog to visible without having to open another section. Even if I could change the plus sign to something else (eg. text saying “click to follow” so it opens up to the follow button and link to my instagram), move the widgets, have the widgets permanently on the footer? Any ideas? Thanks!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello there! You’ve chosen a theme (Spun) that does not place widgets in sidebars on Post pages. If it’s important to you to have your widgets appear in a sidebar, you will have to switch to a theme that offers this layout. I’ve done a search for 2-column themes for you and came up with the following:

    http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/two-columns/

Please let me know if you have any questions about these themes, or need further assistance. Thank you!

Thanks for your reply! I found someone looking to do something similar on WordPress.org, someone replied with css coding which I tried and it put the widgets as a sidebar on my site homepage so I’m sorted!
