Moving with existing domain from Godaddy
-
I have an existing blog with Godaddy, moving to WP and will map my domain here. Thinking I have to manually move my archive as Godaddy doesn’t have an xml export. I’m kind of an idiot with some of this and haven’t gotten my head around it yet. When I publish the old posts from my archive, can I name them with the same names they had on my old blog at godaddy, as in domain.com/2009/04/15/post-name or is that going to make a huge mess? Will WP default to my domain for naming the individual posts or will it use my WP blog url as in domain.wordpress.com/2009/04/15/post-name? Possible to republish the old posts before I remap the domain or will that be even worse? Thanks for any help, and apologize for any ignorance in advance…

Best suggestion I can come up with is to visit WordPress.com Support page and look at these keywords:
domain mapping
export–import content.
Should you need any further help contacting staff seems to be the best bet.Hope that helps :)
