Moving wordpress.com followers to a self hosted site

Can I move my wordpress followers from my blog (urbanfoodlover.wordpress.com) , if I move to a self hosted blog ? Or will only the email subscribers move ? Also once done , will my followers from wordpress.com blog get emails from my self hosted site . Since I believe the jetpack plugin seems to be only for wordpress.org blogs . Please could someone elaborate how this works?

You’d need to install the Jetpack Plugin and depending on your technical level follow the instructions here to move them or contact the WP team
