Moving wordpress.com followers to self-hosted site
-
Hi, I’ve migrated my blog from wordpress.com (crumbsandpegs.wordpress.com) to a self-hosted WordPress site (www.crumbsandpegs.com). I want to move my wordpress.com followers (as well as the email followers) over to my new blog. Please can you tell me know how I do that? I have Jetpack installed on my new site.
Many thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Provided you have installed and activated the JetPack plugin http://jetpack.me on your WordPress.org install, and you post the relevant URL(s) into a forum thread, Staff will do the transfer of both subscribers and stats for you. NOTE: I have tagged this thread for their attention.

I have migrated your subscribers and followers to your new site.
Let me know if there is anything else I can help you with.

Many thanks staff-ozmodiar. Is there also a way to migrate stats and comment followers?
Thanks,

Yes, if post ID’s match up across the sites. If not, it will not work.

Hi staff-ozmodiar,
Yes, the IDs match up (already auto redirecting from old blog). What do I need to do re stats/comment subs?
Many thanks,
Helen

I have attempted to migrate the comment subscribers as well. However, this sometimes does not work if it isn’t done with the initial subscriber migration. Let me know how it all looks.

Many thanks staff-ozmodiar. Stats are fine. Comment subs haven’t transferred across unfortunately but I’m not too worried about that. Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated.
