Moving WordPress.com premium theme to WordPress.org

    Hello all,

My name is Christina – I am a new WordPress blogger that recently moved all of my data from Blogger to WordPress.com. I decided to purchase the Gridspace premium theme last month on the 19th, but am now learning about some of the benefits of building a WordPress.org site and would like to export my content to a self-hosted .org blog.

Because it’s been more than 30 days since my purchase and I am aware of the WordPress refund policy, will I lose my purchase in the transition? Or have to spend an additional $99 through Graph Paper Press? I contacted Graph Paper Press, the theme developers, for additional assistance. I’d love any advice regarding this issue. Thank you so much!

  • Hi Christina,

Since all the Premium themes can only be used on WordPress.com sites I refunded you the purchase of the Gridspace theme so that you can repurchase it again for your self-hosted site.

Let me know if there’s anything else I can do for you. I’m happy to help.
