Mozilla is fighting with my WordPress

  • Unknown's avatar

Since switching from IE to Mozilla browser several problems have developed.
    1) I used to be able to be logged in all day…now my blog is logging itself off every time I get a few tabs up or switch around pages. I have had to re log in 4 times today.
2)When I log off on purpose, I get routed to my blogs home page. I USED to get routed to the freshly pressed page. I don’t like giving myself false ‘hits’ and I miss Freshly pressed.
3)Sometimes my drop down boxes in WordPress don’t drop down. (like when I want to suscribe…I cant.)

I have not changed any security settings or done anything that I know of. My only Mozilla add-ons are Flag-fox and Better privacy. Can I get answers to all 3 questions please?

Can anyone offer a few suggestions for me? I will go ask at Mozzila forum if I have to but maybe others here have ideas first.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

May we deal with these one at a time please?

You have referred to Mozilla but not to Firefox so I don’t know if you have a Mozilla browser or if you have a Firefox browser which is also from Mozilla. Please use this link and then post exactly which browser and version of it your are using. http://www.whatsmybrowser.com/

I do not have this problem. I use Firefox 3.6.13 and I use IE8.

the link tells me I am using Mozilla 1.9 1.9 on WinXP

    * Basic Info:
o This browser supports JavaScript 1.7
o This browser supports CSS 2
o This browser has cookies enabled

Plus I am updated on all software. I thought I had firefox and that it was the same thing.

Maybe I should uninstall my browser and go get firefox. What say you TT?

ok, I found out I also couldnt view any schedualed posts in preview. I paniced and uninstalled mozilla. It didnt want to get off my computer. But now its gone and I am back to IE8. All problems fixed, I hope. I’m gonna get firefox now and NOT mozilla.

When I first wrote, “Can I get answers to all 3 questions please?” It may have sounded wrong in print. If it sounded impatient, Thats not at all how it was meant. I was just trying to clarify the need. But I think it came out sounding more like a ‘hurry up’ sorry bout that.

Advice on the run as I have company. I would choose to uninstall Mozilla and then I would unsitall Firefox 3.6.13. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/products/download.html

What’s up with IE8 Catwoman? Firefox and I just don’t quash very well together, it boots me off all the time and that gets annoying as I am trying to pay bills or whatever. I don’t have issues with IE though.

HIYA Bats, I like IE8. But there is this dump pop up security warning: (Do you want to view only the information that was delivered securley or not. yes or no?)
I have to wait ages while it decides to pop up before I can do any work. It happens everytime I edit, update, or preview. I tell it NO but it still keeps asking.
But its better than all those other probs I was having up at the top.
If it aint broke, dont fix it. I say.
