MP3 content stopped playing in email subscription feeds or on post pages
-
The Audio Player seems to have been upgraded. After this most recent upgrade, my subscribers no longer receive the MP3 link in their email subscription feed, and some are saying they cannot play the MP3s any long on the actual pages. Critical we get this fixed – this is a daily feed of MP3 content to subscribers. NABaudio.com thanks.

I am having the same issue as this fella:
https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/mp3-links-dont-play?replies=3#post-1793979 -
Now it seems that old MP3s on pages/posts that I created earlier are not showing on the page – or that some of them are showing while others are completely absent (though they are present on the editing side).
What’s going on with this MP3 player? It seems to have a lot of glitches? It also does not format correctly with images on a page and covers over images! Also, when put in a list
- or near formatted text it disrupts the formatting of text around the player.
Please help!

Hi, it looks like the fact that MP3 links aren’t showing up in e-mails may be a bug; I’m checking with our developers.
I’ll need some more information to look at the visual/formatting changes that happened. For example, on a page like http://nabaudio.com/2014/04/28/readings-for-april-28/, I see that the image is floated on the right-hand side, and the audio players have a width that fills 100% of the content area.
Previously, were the players half as wide, so that they were side-by-side with the image; or was the image floated to the left side, with the players beneath it, or something else entirely?
Could you send me a few examples of posts where the player is not showing up? It looked like it was there in all of the posts that I visited.
Could you also send some examples of posts where it disrupted the formatted text, and describe how it was different before?
Thanks,

Ian,
Thanks for the response.
The main issue is the links in the email subscription. These should be “playable” right from the email that they receive. I’d love for this to resolve before anything else because mobile subscribers to the blog need this feature. The picture formatting is as you described. Previously, the player would honor the formatting and show up side-by-side with the picture. Now, the player always covers these images. The only way to avoid this is to have the image centered, but this changes the visual format that I’d like to keep for post pages.
On this page: http://nabaudio.com/listen-2/the-old-testament/the-ketubim-writings-wisdom/the-book-of-job-nab/
I have 38 MP3s uploaded to that page (it used to be 52), and only 33 are showing up on the published page. A few other pages that had a large number of MP3s are also missing some of the content. Thanks for your help!

Hi, our developers are looking into the feed issue, and I’ll keep you updated.
I see what you mean about how the layout of the audio player changed. I’ve asked our developers to also look into fixing this.
For the missing links on the page that you mentioned, it looks like those 5 links were deleted, perhaps accidentally? You can compare the current version of page to the previous versions by using the Revisions browser.
Specifically, you can see that the 5 links were removed at:
https://mediahazellc.wordpress.com/wp-admin/revision.php?from=1823&to=1833Details about working with revisions are at http://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/post-revisions/
In order to get the links back, you can copy and paste them from the revision browser.
You can use the revision browser to also check any other pages that are missing links.
Please let me know if you have any questions or if there’s anything else I can do.

Ian,
Tonight, I was editing this page (adding new MP3 content):
http://nabaudio.com/church-fathers/augustine-on-christian-doctrine/I have uploaded 27 MP3 files for this page, listed 1-27. Before I started editing tonight, there were 24 MP3s already uploaded and published on this page. After uploading the next three, the published page now only shows three MP3s – numbers 1, 26, and 27! ?????
As you can see on the back-end editing side of this page, there are still 27 MP3s listed and linked, and they should all be showing up, right?
This is a troublesome bug/glitch because it is eliminating previously published content.
Please help! Thanks.

Hi, I wanted to let you know that the issue of where the audio player was hidden after scrolling down the page is now fixed. We’re still working on the other issues, but we’ll keep you updated.
Thanks for your patience,
Ian
