  I’m feeling really lacking at this point, and really need some ” talk to me like I’m 6yrs old” type help.
  I want to make it possible for an mp3 to be played in my blog

  You upload it at a hosting service (e.g. I use Fileden), take its URL from there and paste it this way:
  [audio URL]

  I think that the faq example is incorrect. It should be [audio=URL] Needs the = sign.

  It actually works either way, with or without the equal sign.
