MP3 opens in new browser window but stops playing

  Hello,

  I have a podcast on wordpress for which I embed an audio player in each blog post, as well as the option of a download link for the often 150MB MP3 files.

  I have had some listeners complain that when they left click on an audio link, an MP3 will open in a new window in their browser but then will stop playing after a few minutes. I have given specific instructions that the download link should be right clicked upon, and also given the listener the option to stream the audio file in a player in my post. However, it cannot always be predicted how people will choose to listen to the audio file or follow directions, for that matter…

  I just want the listeners to be happy, is there any way I can address this issue? I suspect it may be out of my control, but just curious.
