MP3 Sound Files – Expired, wish to reactivate
-
Hi – I originally embedded a couple of sound files in my blog, and would like to reactivate the one that is on my About page, since I didn’t pay the fee for a couple of years and it no longer works. How would I go about doing this?
thanks

Hi there! I am able to view/hear the embedded Steely Dan sound file on your About page:
http://dudesatmidlife.wordpress.com/about/Are you having a different experience? Can you not see it, or play it?
Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much. -
Hi Robyn – thanks for getting back to me so quickly. I see it, but it’s not loaded and I am unable to play. Thanks for checking – I’ll see if works on a different browser or computer.

Hello there! Please do let me know how other browsers work for you. I’ve tried it on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox without trouble.
You may also want to clear out your cookies and cache to see if that impacts the use of the audio player. Here is some advice about clearing your browser’s cache, if you need:

Hi – it does play when I use Safari – sorry, I wish I had tried that first. I cleared the cache in Firefox, but no good. I suspect this is all due to the fact that I’m using an old MacBook that can only go as far as Leopard, and Firefox has a lot of updates that require a newer operating system. I’m not too enchanted with Mozilla these days anyway, so this just pushed me back to Safari…
Thanks again!

Ah yes, it’s amazing how quickly operating systems age these days, making many our applications out-dated as well. I’m glad you have a solution, and can use Safari. Thanks for letting me know!
