With the new WordPress can’t upload video or any files no more I even tested a .txt file it says the same not permitted.

I have “Pro Mine Types” plugin but it is old now and don’t work for this WordPress.

    Any way to fix this?

Right now I have to upload with WinSCP the video and then just say edit the HTML tag and put something like this:

    <figure class=”wp-block-video”><video controls src=”https://raymondday61.wordpress.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/01/Icy_Road-MAH02273.mp4″></video></figure>

It works but then it’s not in the “Media Library” of my WordPress.

I was making a file with just the video file name in it with the same name so very small and then WordPress would upload it and then just replace that with the real file with WinSCP. But now can’t even do that.

    I have version 5.2.3 now.

All so would love it when you put in a photo that it auto do the HTML tags so when you click on the photo it would make it full size. I have to edit the HTML for that too. It auto saves small and full size putting the dimension numbers at the end of the file name and the file with no number at the end is the full size one.

So I have to add in the HTML tag like this:

in there middle of the auto tag WordPress puts in it.

  • That is regarding a self-hosted WordPress.org site, which we really can’t help with here.

To clear up any confusion, WordPress.com and WordPress.org are two different entities: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

WordPress.org has complete documentation for self-hosted/installed versions of WordPress.org at https://wordpress.org/support/ and support at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
