Help! I am trying to find out why the mShots are not working properly. The box pops up but I want it to actually show the front page of the webiste in that link. Does anyone know what I need to do? I’ve deleted cookies till the cows come home, but it only shows when I’m logged into wordpress.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It’s working fine for me. I can hover over you blogroll links and see the front page of the blog you linked to.

Oh really? Well, good then, maybe the problem is just on my end then. This is all new to me…I’m not really computer savy…so thanks!

I signed out of wordpress.com and went to your blog. When I hover I get descriptions and not a preview of the front page of the blogs in your blogroll.
I found the support documentation link here http://en.support.wordpress.com/mshots/ and read this:
Note that if the linked site requires any kind of login the mShots preview will only be able to show the unrestricted website. For example, linking to a private WordPress.com blog will just show a login page.
I do not know if this is a factor in play with the sites you have linked to or not. I do not know if what I am witnessing is “normal behavior” or not because I shut this function off when it was introduced. I’m sorry I cannot provide any help with this. If you wait another volunteer maybe able to clarify what “normal behavior” is for you.

The snapshots (snap.com for logged out users/mshots for logged in) is working. I had to hover over a link twice though for it to work.

Did you see the “previews” of webpages when you were signed out?
I saw only “descriptions” when I hovered and I did this three times when I was logged out. -

Well I signed out for the fourth time and I still get descriptions only and no previews — weird.

You click the highlighted icon (top left)?
It shows you the icon rather then the RSS feed.

dreamsburnedred has answered your question. Unless you and your readers click the highlighted icon there will be no preview displayed. -
Well, I’m glad that was solved thanks sooo much to the both of you, but it would be nice if the preview would be shown!

If we don’t blog for our readers and just blog for our own entertainment then we have private blogs. If we choose to have public blogs then we are blogging for our readers.
IMHO this is a good feature because it offers your readers a choice, rather than imposing one that you make on them. They can hover and read text or they can click the icon and view an image. :)
