Multi-author blog
-
Hi – I’ve been trying to figure this out on my own but can’t seem to. I am the administrator/creator of my website but I have 6 additional “authors.” I would like them to be able to publicize their posts automatically like I do but it doesn’t seem like they have the ability to do that listed as “authors” and not admins. Is this correct or is there a way for each of my authors to connect with facebook and twitter? Thanks in advance!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Authors can publish their own posts and can publicize as well if it has been set up on their Global Dashboard.

It is highly recommended to have only one Admin per blog (we can’t stress this enough!) because the Admin can do absolutely everything, including deleting the blog itself.

Thanks for the info – maybe I didn’t explain my problem very well. I am the only admin on the site and I want to keep it that way. The other users on my site are currently “authors” but I want them to be able to publicize their posts via facebook & twitter automatically. My understanding is that I can’t get everything on the site to post automatically because the invididual authors have to do it.
However, when they are in dashboard view they don’t have the “sharing” tab on the left hand side so they can’t figure out how to connect with facebook & twitter.
Does that make sense?

You explained quite well. It was I that misunderstood your intention.
Have your Authors look under their own “My Blogs” in their Dashboard and see if the Publicize options show up for them there. If not, they should also check if the “Publicize” box is checked under the “screen options” button in the upper right corner of their Dashboard screen. If it is available, you will have to give them the information they will need to authorize the Twitter/Facebook account their posts should be publicized to.
