Multi-language website
-
Hi there!
I would like to know if there is any option to have my blog in two different languages. I have the Stay theme. Anybody can help?
Thanks a lot!

Sure, it’s easy if they both use the same alphabet. Just type the articles out twice, once in each language, and use a Category for the name of the language. Then use a Custom Menu so people can click on the category and get their own language version of the blog.
-
Its the same if they don’t use the same alphabet – WordPress.com uses unicode.
The only limitation is the messages “posted on”, “comments”, “leave a reply”, and so on can only be in one language per blog.

If they both use the same alphabet, you can type in both languages. If one uses Arabic script and the other English, you’re screwed.
-
Not at all if you switch keyboards you can type in any language. Or use Google transliterate and paste.

Hi guys,
thanks for your answers!! I tried what raincoaster said, and it worked, but not the way I wanted to. I would like to have the exact same website, but in two different languages, just hitting a button. I mean, even the menus, everything, and both with the same estructure.
Doing what raincoaster said you will have the posts in an specific language, but only those posts, not the rest of the website.
Is there anything we could do about it?
Thanks a lot!!

What some people do is have two seperate blogs, one for each language. That way you can set the language for each blog to match the posting language. Then you can use a link in the sidebar or a custom menu item saying “view this blog in English” or whatever linking between them.
