Multi-vendor ecommerce

    Hi there,

    I am trying to build a multi-vendor ecommerce platform where people have to become a registered member in order to be active on the website but also where they can message high resolution photos to each other (this is a site for photographers). In order to do this on WordPress, I found found some great plug-in’s on WordPress.org but can’t seem to find the same plug-in’s when I am logged in under my account in WordPress.com. Are these essentially two different websites or do I just need to upgrade in order to get these plugins on my site? Some of the plugins include: WooCommerce, Simple Personal Message, Jetpack, BuddyPress and a few others. Can you please let me know if these plugins are available for my new wordpress website?

    Hi,

    WordPress.com does not allow you to add plugins, even if you upgrade to the Premium or Business plans. If you want to add plugins, you’ll need to use self-hosted WordPress (WordPress.org).
