Multilingual site

Hi there! I’m trying to create a multilingual blog on the free wordpress page. I tried to add the multilingual plugins but the website just won’t allow me doing it. Is it because it’s free ? I saw a million of tutorials but my interface doesn’t allow installing ANY plugins. I’m working on mac and a totally beginner to this, please help!

Here’s a few methods of setting up a multilingual blog, there’s a few caveats for each so take a look and see which one would work best for you. There are some example sites at the bottom, the first one uses the separate blogs method and looks great.
The reason you can’t use plugins is that those are for people who host their own install of WordPress rather than have their site hosted at WordPress.com – there’s a few other differences listed here.
You can still use a whole host of plugins that come pre-installed, you just can’t add any of your own.

So I have already downloaded wordpress in polish as one of the suggested solutions was but I was very disappointed to find out my blog theme looked totally different than the one I already chose via website and felt already attached to it.
