Multiple authors for the same post: a neccesity

    This post is for asking for a “multiple-authors-posting” on the next WordPress version.
    I’m admin of an colaborative and interdisciplinary blog, where every post could have multiple authors (one for the text, one for the image, one for the music, etcetera), but only can be related to one author… This, apart of unsatisfactory, it’s very problematic with the authors’ widget, because only works with the “acredited” author of the post. So, the name of an author don’t links to all his work, and some authors don’t apper at all (if he/she don’t have an “accredited” post, for example, one author who is only adding audio on the texts writed for others).
    I know that I can “fix” this problem using the Categories to determinate who works on what post (although this suppose to change drastically the way we use to organize the blog), or use the Tags on the same way, but neither are goods solution.

    You can put a byline at the top of the post declaring who is to blame for what part of the post, but that will not of course take care of your issues with the author’s widget.

    I doubt very seriously that wordpress will implement anything like this. In over two years of answering questions here in the forums, this is the first time this has been requested that I can remember.
