Multiple Authors on Posts

Okay guys, c’mon. I’ve seen people asking for this feature for a long time, and it doesn’t seem like it it would really be that hard to do.
What’s the reasoning for why it hasn’t been implemented yet?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Some themes are designed to display author bylines and some are not. See author byline and author profile displayed or not > http://wpbtips.wordpress.com/2009/08/15/author-displayed-or-not/
In reference to those themes that do display author bylines there must be at least two authors who have both published a post in the blog for the author bylines to display.
There’s a single author workaround here > http://onecoolsitebloggingtips.com/2012/01/03/wordpress-com-changes-bylines-for-authors/

I’m not clear on whether you are referring to more than one author byline displaying on themes designed to display author bylines on posts or not.

I’m referring to if myself and one of the other authors on the blog both contribute to a post, being able to have both our author tags display on that post.

The author cards are a nice touch. The theme that I chose does have an automatic author card. I have been experimenting with it because I would like to introduce my students. However, the additional of the author may present challenges to multiple authors and co-authors. I agree. http://www.socialworkhelper.wordpress.com
