multiple blog entries & notification to followers

  I’m old school, so blogging requires some quality time in front of the computer and I’ll sit and write multiple entries in a day adjusting the publishing date to when the event happened. Does this mean my followers will get 5 notification emails of a new post? a summary email? Is this something I can adjust?
