Multiple Blogs and Username Issue

Hello, thank you for taking the time to read this. I am having an issue with the username. I originally created a name and blog after registering the domain with WordPress.com. In all honesty, I was simply exhausted from trying to come up with names that people weren’t sitting on. My fiancé took a list I had come up with and urged me to choose one I didn’t really like but I relented. I came up with something I felt much better with and added it to my blog and registered the domain with that. The problem is I can’t get out of the username I originally chose, I can’t log in with the second that I created, so things like Blogsy won’t recognize my second domain. All I wanted to do was change my username to the second that was created, but that can’t be done. I am kind of lost on how to proceed here. Thanks again for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.

Thanks for your response, it’s appreciated! Yes, I tried. Here’s the deal, it says the name is already taken; which is true. When I created the new blog name and registered the domain I created the name. But I can’t log in to it, it says the username is incorrect. When I try to change it to the name I created it with it says it’s in use.
So I don’t know what options I have to make it the primary username to log in with.

Just change your Display Name. That won’t change it here on the forums, but it’ll change the name displayed on your blog as the author of posts.
Do that under Profile->Nickname. YOu type in the name you want, save, then go back and select that name from the drop-down menu. Save again.

Thanks Air, I already contacted them and I am waiting for a response. I just figured I would pop on the forums and ask the community. Sometimes the forum folks have all the knowledge to school the newbish folks.
Rain, I would do that but it isn’t quite what I am hoping to accomplish. I need to be able to log in as mindinthemess rather than friedbolonium. It won’t allow that unfortunately, so I am kind of boned for the moment. Thanks though, I do appreciate the responses.

But you can change your display name to mindinthemess on one of the blogs as long as you remember to change it back each time.
Hopefully staff can get this sorted for you.
