Multiple blogs on 1 website?

    Let’s say I have a online clothing / shoe / hat store. And I would like to make blogs for these 3 differenet branches. Would it be possible and acceptable (SEO wise) to make 3 different blogs on your website?

    And would you suggest following URLs or different?

    clothing-blog.joestore.com
    shoes-blog.joestore.com
    hat-blog.joestore.com
