Multiple blogs on one account and granting access to only one of those?

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi! So I have three blogs under once WordPress account. One of those is for a business and we are hiring a web developer to help with the design, etc.

Is there any way to grant access to just the one blog of the three that are on the same account. I don’t really want an outsider to have access to everything else I do that is not related to the business site.

Alternatively, would it be easier to just create a new WordPress account and transfer the business blog/page so that it isn’t mixed in with the other?

I hope that is a clear explanation of what I’m trying to do! Any help would be great!

    Thanks
    D

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Do not provide your login information to anyone ever. You can send that person an invitation and add that persons WordPress.com username account as an Admin or an Editor to a single blog. See here:
    http://en.support.wordpress.com/adding-users/ and here http://en.support.wordpress.com/user-roles/

They need to register username accounts but do not need to register blogs. They will need to click the “Accept Invitation” button in the invitation email. If they are logged into their WordPress.com account, they will be taken directly to your blog. If not, they will be taken to the log-in screen, where they can either log in or create a new user account.

Note that users who create a new WordPress.com account at that point will still need to return to the invitation email and click the “Accept Invitation” button after doing so.
