Multiple categories in sidebar
-
Hello,
I was wondering if it’s possible to have two headers with a category name in my sidebar and have my posts (depending on which category I add them) show under them?
For example, my site is about two things, 1 Heavenly Sword, 2 Ninja Theory.
I’d want it like this:Ninja Theory news:
post
post
postHeavenly Sword
post
post
postThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would need to create those manually using a text widget and then update them each time you created a post.

Yes I thought of that too. Create 2 titles with text widgets, but how would I place the posts under the correct title? Because they’d automatically go to ‘recent posts’.

You have to add the posts and the links to them manually as you publish the posts. There is no automatic way of doing this.

Hmm. Too bad. Last question, can I add a dropdown bar so people can choose the category?

The categories widget has the ability to be a dropdown. Appearance > widgets and click on the right end of the categories widget and then click on “dropdown” select OK, wait for the spinning donut to disappear and then click “close.”
If you are talking about a dropdown in text widgets, then no that is not possible. Dropdowns require script and script is not allowed here due to security concerns.
