Hey there,
I am looking to build and host three separate websites but do not know if that is possible. I do not want to purchase three separate Premium subscriptions if possible and am looking for the most cost effective yet performance enhancing method.
On our services, you would need three separate plans for three separate sites, though they don’t necessarily have to have the Premium subscription. In many cases, the Personal subscription would work fine. We’d be happy to confirm if you’d like to share more details about the features each site needs.
Alternatively, you’d be welcome to run your own WordPress installation(s) with another host. WordPress Multisite could be a good option if your host supports it and if you’re fine with the technical overhead. Or you can connect the sites through Jetpack so you can manage them all here.
You’ll just want to bear in mind the differences between our managed hosting services and the free software itself. Our paid plans include fast and reliable SSL hosting + CDN, as well as maintenance, security, and support, and several paid Jetpack features like Akismet spam filtering. Jetpack’s real-time backups are also included on some plans.
If you buy hosting with another provider, you can take care of all of that on your own, or hire services as needed. We have more info here and here, but in short, we provide a lot more than just hosting, which is why our services are priced per site.
Let us know if you have any questions!
