multiple hyperlinks in an image
-
Created a chart, added 16 hyperlinks in InDesign, exported for Dreamweaver (my web application). Would like to embed that chart image on a WordPress page, and have each link go to a different WordPress page in the same site. Upload of that html chart into Library is not successful. Can we do this?__ If so, how?__

Hi,
Depending upon the code used you might be able to copy and paste it into a WordPress.com site. Can you provide a link to the chart itself? Or, better yet, paste the code here in a post?

Currently the chart has been imported into InDesign CS5 (from Illustrator CS5) where I created “hot spot” links. I can “export” for Dreamweaver, but when I open that export to see code It doesn’t seem complete enough.
What code (or process) should I use in order to make this chart navigable in WordPress.org? and then how do I import it into WordPress.org?
I’ve placed three items in DropBox for you. I’d really appreciate if you could take a look and offer suggestions:
1. the exported .html doc from InDesign: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15299505/BPG-Chart-wlinks2.html
2. the -opt.jpg that seems to go with it: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/15299505/BPG_Chart-Nmbrd-_opt.jpeg
3. and the original InDesign document w/hot spot links:

Hi and thanks for that extra info. If the image map includes some type of scripting beyond plain vanilla HTML and CSS, we won’t be able to use it here on WordPressdotcom. https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
You’ve mentioned that you’d like to use it on a standalone WP.org site. If so, you’ll want to head over to the ORG forums. You’ve posted your question in the forums for sites hosted on WordPressdotcom.
Help for self-hosted sites using the standalone WP software can be found over at https://codex.wordpress.org/Main_Page and at https://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t have a username on the ORG forums, you can register one on that page.
Standalone WP and WordPressdotcom are separate entities; more information about the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
