Multiple Image problems

    I am having several image problems with my blog. First of all, I’ll say that I’m using the Tarski theme but don’t see any postings regarding it.

    Basically, in Visual Mode, WordPress (or this theme) can hardly do anything right. If I insert an image, select “Insert/Edit image” and make any kind of changes, I get duplicate images or boxes with red Xs. Many times, the changes I make to “Insert/Edit image” don’t even seem to be permanent changes. Nothing happens, so I select the image, check the properties and all fields are still blank.

    When it comes to aligning text around an image…it is a complete mess. I spent almost an hour today on ONE picture trying to align it to the left of the text. I kept getting bizarre results such as posting the image at the top of the post instead of where the cursor was, text refusing to wrap no matter what, the “Insert/Edit image” properties refusing to show my alignment choice despite doing it over and over and over and over.

    Shouldn’t inserting images and manipulating be far less complicated than this?

    Okay this is so friggin ridiculous. Another issue…I am wanting to link a picture to a URL. I select the picture, go to the “Insert/Edit image” properties and paste the link in Image URL…hit OK…and the entire picture disappears. *sigh*

    I’ve tried a different theme…same result.

    Shoot. I have had the same image aligning problem. But what browser are you using?

    @speifer and bnns29
    Please post the urls for your blogs so staff can locate them and we can see them.
    Which browser and version of it are you using?
    Is it Safari? http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/20/im-using-safari-and-i-have-problems/
    https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic.php?id=16218

    Can you use firefox or camino? And if so are the problems remedied when you switch browsers?
    Have you tried shutting off the visual rich text editor and using the standard editor?
    -> Users -> Your Profile (find the checkbox and uncheck it, click “Update Profile” to save the change).

    I feel stupid. lol I was using Internet Explorer but switched to Mozilla Firefox and everything works fine now. Just confirms that IE sucks. :)

    Thanks for coming back and telling us how you resolved this. No doubt about it – firefox ROCKS! :)
