Multiple non-working accounts
-
I have an account aheartforartdotcomdotau. I DONT want this account.
I have paid the $17 to map my business name: A Heart for Art (aheartforart.com.au) over to wordpress. But, I think it has attached itself to the ridiculous name above, with all the dots in it.
So when I try to log in everything comes up so I can’t customise anything. Its a mess.
Originally, I set out to start a free wordress blog, using aheartforart.wordpress.com. Then I got a message saying I couldn’t have it, that the name: aheartforart.wordpress.com was already taken.
I might have even started that site prior to all of this and forgotten about it.It may be me? So we made up the aheartforarts.com with a ‘s’ after the art. So it was close to real name. Then I discovered that I could map my business name over. I couldn’t have the website for free, I needed a host, but I would have my name that I wanted: aheartforart.com.au
Can you please help me. I would like 2 accounts: my website name: aheartforart.com.au and a wordpress account: aheartforart.wordpress.com.
I have been on this for days, I have spent hours on the live chat to hostgator (the host I am using) but they said to contact you. I am paying for everything and I cant use any of it.
Regards,
KerryThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

aheartforart.com.au is a standalone WP install, hosted on hostgator.
If you wish to use that domain name here on WordPressdotcom, these are the instructions to follow to map it to the WordPressdotcom website you paid the domain mapping upgrade on. https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/
If you still need help with this, please add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar to receive Staff assistance.

That was not at all helpful. I wrote to you in length describing everything clearly and I get back how to add a domain?? I’ve done that, are you expecting me to do it twice?????
It was paid to wordpress. So you should be able to see that your end.
This is the Receipt:
Domain Mapping
AHEARTFORART.COM.AU | AHEARTFORARTDOTCOMDOTAU.WORDPRESS.COM
Domain Settings
PRICE
A$17 AUD / year
SUBSCRIPTION AUTO-RENEWS ON
March 30, 2017I need the domain name mapped to AHEARTFORART.COM.AU | AHEARTFORARTS.WORDPRESS.COM
Not the AHEARTFORARTDOTCOMDOTAU.WORDPRESS.COM which looks and reads ridiculous. Why would anyone want a name like that!
Can you delete the account: AHEARTFORARTDOTCOMDOTAU.WORDPRESS.COM as it keeps coming up when I try to work on the blog and its annoying.
And change my mapping to AHEARTFORART.COM.AU | AHEARTFORARTS.WORDPRESS.COM please.

If you still need help with this, please add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar to receive Staff assistance.
I’ve added the MODLOOK tag for you. Staff will be able to see what is going on behind the scenes and help you sort it out.
Best wishes from me.

staff-doublebassd – thanks :)
@aheartforarts
These are currently the name servers I see for the domain aheartforart.com.au:Name Server ns8155.hostgator.com
Name Server ns8156.hostgator.comIf you haven’t yet, and as mentioned in the Support document I linked to, you will need to change or ask your domain registrar to change those Name Servers to WordPressdotcom. Here’s how:
https://en.support.wordpress.com/map-existing-domain/#2-ask-your-domain-provider-to-update-your-dns-settingsOnce those name servers are updated, it can take up to 72 hours for the change to spread out over the Internet.
Cheers and best wishes from me.
