Multiple post pages,
-
I am helping a student with a blog for a project, here, started in the iNove theme.
http://accessdeniedblog.wordpress.com/Had two questions, not sure where to ask.
1. Is it possible to have more than one post (with comments) page, in this theme or any? For example, she wanted to enable people to comment under each Action Steps topic, not just comment on the entire page.
2. Is it possible to use “expanding text” in posts in this theme, or WordPress.com? This would be used for longer posts, show them as collapsed in default, but allow expansion.Thanking anyone for feedback,

1. There is no theme which allows more than one posting page. But it sounds like what you want are child pages. “Action Steps” would be the parent, and each topic would be a child page. Readers can comment on child pages.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/In iNove theme, child pages are displayed as drop-down menus

2. I see that you have discovered the “read more” tag, so I’m not sure what you mean by “expanding text?”
There are a very few themes which allow for custom excerpts or summaries of articles. Unfortunately, iNove is not one of them.

1tess, thanks so much for the prompt response. I must admit I was surprised and embarrassed when I went to the student’s blog and found “read more”, after she had asked me if it was possible. She must have found the answer and not told me.
Sorry! Thanks for the tip on child pages. -

Thanks again. For any other noobs out there, here is the link to the more tag.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/splitting-content/more-tag/It first threw me off as it did not work when I first tried it on a test blog using the iNove theme (which is now gone from my Browse Themes for some reason). In my case, it took about 10 minutes to ‘take”. This may be common.
