Multiple Staging Pages

When viewing our website, there seems to be multiple pages available. for example. Our website would be none.com but sometimes it comes up at none.wpcomstaging.com and the edits are different. I have trouble editing because of the differences. For instance, I add something to the ‘home page’ but when you go to our website, initially, you don’t see what I added. you have to click the ‘home’ tab and then it shows up. I’m not very experienced with editing but even the lady who was helping me enhance our website didn’t know what was going on. (she is not from WP).
What’s going on? How do I fix it?

    Hi there!

Can you let us know what the URL is of the site where you’re having this problem? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise.

    Thank you!

  • Hi @healprogram1, so the live site is pointed to GoDaddy currently. There was a site on our servers that appears to be inactive now, but was never properly downgraded and has reverted to a staging site. If you’d like, we can downgrade that completely it so you can delete it.

If you’d like us to do that, please confirm that you understand:

    1. Any content (pages, posts, media, comments, etc) added after adding outside themes and plugins will be lost.

    2. Any custom content created by plugins and themes will not be carried over.

    3. Plugins and third-party themes can no longer be used.

    4. The site will revert to using the old theme.

Since your site is with a different host now it may not matter, but if needed, please make backups, and ensure you have your content ready to re-upload if needed. We can proceed once you’ve confirmed.
