Multiple users/One password
-
Can’t find an answer in FAQ or forums so here’s the question:
If I make my blog private and authorize one wp.com user, can multiple readers see the blog using that single un and pw? Of course, I realize that’s not the tightest security, but it would simplify pw protection for my small group…thanks.

In any event, users have to log into their wordpress.com account and you have to authorize that account to see your blog before they’ll see it.
If your group is small (35 or less), why bother? My inflated 2¢ worth.

Thanks for the reply! I had read the FAQ you pointed to, and have used the privacy settings to protect a blog. But authorization requires a wp.com account. My real question is, if a individuals within a group don’t have accounts, can multiple readers use the same un/pw to access a protected blog, and can they do it simultaneously? For instance, can all members of GroupA access a protected blog using the same GroupA/Password account?

They will each have to have a WordPress account, but they don’t need to create a blog. You then enter their wordpress user names in your privacy tab and that’s that. You don’t give them a password. Don’t give anyone your password.
