Multiple wordpress.com sites
-
Hello all
If anyone can help that would be appreciated, I seem to keep finding information on wordpress.org not com. Apologies if I’m missing it.
I am looking to set up 6 or 7 wordpress sites, each for a totally separate business, own urls etc.
What is the best way to do this with wordpress.com? I have registered an account but not started to build any sites yet. Do I create one site with this account and then register again to create the second site, third etc? Or should I have registered as some kind of multi-site user to begin with – I didn’t see anything addressing this. Additionally, am I missing out on any pricing discount for having multiple sites if I create one after the other?
Thank you
TomI don’t have a site with WordPress.com yet

Hi Tom! You can create all your sites under a single WordPress.com user account. This will allow you to use a single login (your account) to manage multiple sites and blogs.
You can read more about how to add sites under your account here:
https://wordpress.com/support/create-a-blog/#adding-a-new-site-or-blog-to-an-existing-account
If you want to use a custom domain name or other upgrades, you would need a paid plan for each site. We have a number of different plan options – so you can choose the plan that best fits each individual site. You can compare those plan options here:
https://wordpress.com/pricing/
As each plan is for a single site, we don’t offer any discounts on purchasing more than one plan at this time.
You can also start setting your site up here before switching your domain over/purchasing a plan.
When you sign up for a new site, we give you a free subdomain (*.wordpress.com) that you can use to start building your new site.
Note that you will need a paid plan at the time you want to map your domain to the site. You can compare the different plan levels here:
I hope that helps! Let us know if you have any questions.
