Multisite Inquiry

Hello!
I’m trying to create a news + directory website with wordpress and so, I’m in the process of researching all the necessary templates/plans/plugins. While doing this, I ran into the issue of needing a separate news and directory template. Is it possible to use a domain (for news template) and subdomain (for directory) under the WordPress Business plan? I read some things online and found this feature called WordPress Multisite but it seems to be only available for wordpress.org but I don’t like the fact that I’d be the one to host and take care of back end work. If my question is not clear enough or hard to understand, please let me know and I will try to explain it a bit further in detail. I look forward to hearing back soon, thanks!

Hi @itegraphic, it’s not possible to have two different sites / themes on a single Business plan.
But, newer themes that support blocks can do quite a lot of things to mimic other themes. You might be able to get away with a directory plugin / theme + pages built out for your news site.

Our forum (and its staff) is support for the free sites on WordPress.com, which don’t support outside plugins, so you might find more opinions there. Hoping that helps!
