Multisite Login Redirect

Howdy. I’m creating a multisite for educational purposes, which requires me to limit access in a number of inconvenient ways. I’m looking to redirect specific users to specific to specific sites, within the multisite when they log in, and again when they log out. Essentially, a user to an URL. I tried Peter’s login plugin, but had no success, and it is untested with the latest version of wordpress. I tried a few membership style plugins, but they did a few other things that I don’t want to happen. So is there a way I can do what I want?
