Multisite, prevent non super admin accessing dashboard
-
Hi,
I’m new to WPMU so this may be a stupid request but I have started building a WPMU site with subsites that are either single pages or woocommerce.
I have YITH frontend manager for woocommerce and I don’t want the admins of the subsites to have any access to the dashboard of their site.
is this possible? As far as I can tell each subsite has a user with administrator role.
I’d like to use super admin to manage all sites myself but subsite users can manage their woocommerce shops but nothing else
User role manager doesn’t have a super admin option..
many thanks,
geoff.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there! If it works like multisite does here, super admins have access to all sites; site admins have access to only their site. I’m not sure how that works with the YITH plugin, though. Can you ask their support directly?
Also, this forum is primarily for sites that use our free-tier managed hosting, which doesn’t even allow outside plugins like some of our other plans do, so it’s a bit of out of our wheelhouse. If the plugin support isn’t able to make a recommendation, I’d recommend one of these forums instead:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/multisite/
or
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/woocommerceOr, you might even contact WooCommerce sales: https://woocommerce.com/contact-us/
I know that team is very aware of different extension offerings out there and may be able to suggest something.
I hope this helps!
And here’s more info on the difference between our managed hosting services and the Open Source software:
