Multisite – WP is in subfolder and other sites are not same level
-
Hello,
I made a multisite and have it in the folder:
domain.com/us
The reason why I named it /us because I am going to have a multisite based on per country.
My issue is that the other sites are not on the same level as the /us folder, so I get the following issue:
domain.com/us/ca/
domain.com/us/ukAnd I need it as
domain.com/ca
domain.com/ukNow, I can’t put WP into root because I have an app/web there which can’t be part of WP.
My question is, how do I make my other sites on the same level as /us folder.
I followed the instructions for this:
and it worked but wp-admin does not. I was wondering if there’s a better method that’s more elegant and doesn’t really require .htaccess file?
Thanks!

It looks like you’re in the wrong forum, as WordPress.com is already a multisite and cannot use that function. I believe you need help for a WordPress powered site, not a site hosted at WordPress.com. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are a little separate, and that can be confusing.
https://wordpress.com/support/com-vs-org/You’ll want to use the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums for any support on managing your site. Hope that helps to point you in the right direction!
