Museum Theme – Add featured image to Project post type
-
Hi there,
I added featured images to the Project (under Portfolio) post type when using the Sketch theme, and now I have switched to Museum theme. I was previously able to add featured images to this post type, but now cannot find where I can add a featured image in Museum. I’ve checked Screen Options, and am starting to feel a bit insane.
Thank you!! :)

Hi there. I had a look at my test site and Museum indeed has no way to add featured images to portfolio projects.
This is either a bug, or Museum does not support the portfolio content type (looking at the details and demo pages for that theme I think it might be the latter).
I’ll tag this for staff to follow up for clarity on that. Please be patient while waiting for their reply.

Just a note to say that I noticed the Museum theme is not listed among these 28 Free Portfolio WordPress Themes https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/portfolio/?sort=free

Eryn, thanks for reporting this issue. I’m going to have our developers take a look. When the portfolio custom post type is active (on any theme, not just those listed as a “portfolio theme” in the showcase) the project editor screen should have a spot to upload a featured image, but that does seem to be missing in Museum. We’ll keep you posted here!

This should now be fixed and the featured image box is now appearing on portfolio projects in Museum. Thanks for letting us know about this bug so we could get it fixed up!
