Museum Theme – photos do not show up on front page

I added an image to a post, yet it does not show up on the front page. I can only see it if I click into the post. The image is in full size format.

Also, there is an option to add a tagline – yet when I input it into under the site title, nothing shows up on the front page.

    Please help!

  • Hi there. To have the image display on the front page you specifically have to set it as the featured image. In the post editor, look for the Featured Image module, click the link to assign one, and pick your image. To be clear, adding an image to the post’s content does not make it a featured image, and you can also assign a featured image without actually adding it to the post itself. The featured image should be at least 920×920 pixels big. See your theme’s support doc for more information: https://wordpress.com/themes/museum/

Looking at your theme’s support doc and the demo page (https://museumdemo.wordpress.com/) it looks like your theme simply doesn’t display a tagline. Many of the more photography/art orientated themes work this way. Still add a tagline, as that information is used by search engines when they index your site, but it won’t display on this theme.
