How to do music website
Creating a music website on WordPress.com is easy! Just follow these steps:
1. Since you already have a WordPress.com account, you can select a plan that suits your needs, but the Premium or higher plan is recommended for musicians as it comes with additional features and more storage for audio files.
2. Choose a theme: When signed in, go to “My Site” in the top left corner and click on “Themes” under the “Design” tab. Browse through the available themes and select one that suits your music website’s style.
3. Customize your site: Click on “Customize” under the “Design” tab. Here you can modify various settings, such as the site’s title, background color, header, and typography. Customize it until you’re happy with how it looks.
4. Create pages: Select “Pages” under the “Site” tab and click on “Add New Page.” Create important pages such as “About,” “Music,” “Events,” and “Contact.” Write content for each page and publish them.
5. Add a music player: To showcase your music, click on “Blocks” under the “Site” tab and search for the “Audio” or “Playlist” block, depending on your preference. Upload or link to your audio files and customize the player’s appearance. Add the block to the desired page on your site.
6. Integrate a blog: If you wish to have a blog on your site, click on “Posts” under the “Site” tab and select “Add New Post.” Write your blog post, add relevant images or other media, and publish it.
7. Promote your events: To add event information and dates, use the “Calendar” or “Events” block on the “Events” page. Keep it updated with your upcoming gigs, tours, or appearances.
8. Set up a contact form: On the “Contact” page, use the “Form” block to create a contact form, allowing fans and industry professionals to reach out to you.
9. Connect with social media: To engage with your audience, go to “Marketing” and click on “Connections.” Add your social media profiles and use the “Social Icons” block to display them on your site.
10. Publish your site: Once you’re happy with your music website, make sure to click on “Launch” in the top right corner to make it publicly accessible.
