  I am trying to add music onto a post but when I try to put it in media it says that wordpress doesn’t alloy that type of file. It’s a mp3 file. I tried looking it up but I just found an article saying that I need to activate some plug-ins. When I went back to my site I couldn’t do anything with the plug-in option. I just opened a page that asked me to upgrade. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I can’t find the song on soundcloud either so I the only way I can post it would be to upload it directly from my laptop.

  You can upload the files to your site if you have the WordPress.com Premium or WordPress.com Business plan. These plans allows you to upload .mp3, .m4a, .ogg, or .wav files to your blog.

  If you don’t wish to purchase the plans, you can create account at soundcloud and upload the music there. Once uploaded, you can then embed it to wordpress post.
