    First I want to say background music is an awfull idea unless you want to scare people away from your site, certainly if people can’t stop it from playing.
    As you can learn from several forum threads – https://wordpress.com/forums?s=background%20music – autoplaying background music isn’t possible on a free wordpress.com website.
    You can only embed an audio player from several popular platforms, https://wordpress.com/support/audio/

    There are some drawbacks to having auto video or auto music playing when a site first loads for someone.

    – It will require more data/bandwidth to load, so the person visiting could have a poor experience and trouble actually getting the site loaded to view it.

    – The music could play very loud if someone loads the site unaware, and they have their volume turned up.

    If the music is integral to your project I would consider displaying it as an opt in, or via a play button or video embed. Another option would be to customize the music so it plays only after someone is on the site for a certain time, or they scroll below the fold of their browser view. The second option would require more customization than what we can support here in this forum.
