Must affiliate links be related to posts' topics on business plan, free domain?

    For example, an affiliate link about TVs for sale on a post about animals’ behavior. Business plan, but free domain.

    Our user guidelines apply to all sites, regardless of plan:

    User Guidelines

    Under spam we include sites that only exist to drive traffic to third party services. If you’re linking to affiliate sites that have nothing to do with what you’re writing about, that’s what you’re doing.

    It might still be okay, depending on what sites you link to and how many such links you use on your site, but that would have to be decided by our terms of service team if and when your site gets flagged for spammy affiliate links.
