Must i continue to pay annually if i just want to purchase 10GB space upgrade?

  I just want to increase my storage space 10GB.
  Must i pay for this every year?
  or is it a one time purchase until i’ve used it up and want to increase again?
  As i understand from the Q&A, the stuff i upload with my space upgrade stays on my blog even if i do not renew payment after a year. is that right?

  yes it is an annual upgrade – required if you want to add media to your blog – if you do not renew the space upgrade, you can’t add new media (assuming you are above the base 3GB space) – what you have already uploaded will not be deleted nor will access be blocked – you just can’t upload new media

  so, even if i haven’t used up the 10GB i purchased, i still have to pay again at the end of the year?
  It seems a bit chintzy that i cant use up something i have already paid for…

  even if you just use 1GB of the 10GB upgrade, yes you will need to renew the upgrade next year if you want to upload more media.

  That is sort of standard for all hosts by the way, a certain amount of storage space is available for different packages on other hosts and if you don’t use all of the space you still pay for it, one advantage here is if you stop uploading new media you can stop paying for the upgrade and your content is safe & can be accessed – not so on other hosts
