Must I use WordPress' NS for domain mapping?
-
I would like to direct the A record of my domain to the WordPress blog-site I set up, and while I’m happy to pay for the domain mapping upgrade, I do not want to change Nameservers (domain hosting). Is there another way to do this?
In the Custom DNS instructions, I note “Please note that you cannot add an A record for a root level domain such as mydomain.com through the WordPress.com Custom DNS editor. You must use another DNS hosting provider if you want to do that.” How would one use another DNS hosting provider and still comply? Thank you!

If you want to use the domain mapping upgrade, you’ll need to update your domain name servers:
