Must my readers sign up with you?

My sister said she can’t see my blog because you insist she ‘sign up’, which is something she will never do. I’ve never heard of this before. Does everyone who wants to view an article I write have to sign up with you?? ALSO… as long as I’m here, I’ll ask a question I’ve had for a long time, but just haven’t taken time to ask. I know you want to run ads on my site, but each time I’m aware or that, I say no simply because you don’t say what ad and I fear you will advertise something I don’t approve of. WHY is the content of ads kept secret so we don’t know what is being advertised??

Your viewers shouldn’t need to have a WordPress.com account to view your blog. I have tested this and was able to view your site while logged out of my WordPress.com account without issue.
WordPress.com has a very high standard of advertising. While I can’t guarantee that you yourself would approve of every single ad. I can say that I have seen nothing that I would personally have an issue with on my own blog. In general, they are just your run of the mill ads. Common consumer products and the like. That having been said, if you would like to eliminate the issue completely, the No Ads upgrade included with WordPress.com Premium will keep ads off your site permanently.

Thank you for your response. I have let my sister know she had to have put an address other than mine into her browser.
About the Ads– I sell nothing and receive no money for any of my articles, so I certainly don’t want to pay for them to be there. For this reason, I don’t mind your putting Ads on my pages, but I do mind not knowing what they are, because they might be advertising things I tell my readers NOT to eat and that would be a conflict of interest and possibly confuse some readers.

If you can control the ads that want to be on my blog, making sure they are companies I approve of, then, please do that. People do need to know how to eat healthy and keep well. They also need to know where they can buy the things I share with them that they should eat.Together, rootjosh, we can make a wonderful difference and if that difference only affects one, then that one will be excited and share with someone else– it just goes on and on.
