Must the little bar showing Follow and WordPress.com pop up at bottom screen?
-
When I scroll down past the latest post, a bar pops up at the bottom of the screen with a follow button and links to WordPress.com. Do I have to have that? The Follow button is already at the top, and links to Worpress.com are at the bottom, and I find that little pop up thingy visually distracting. Can I turn it off?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It seems to be something relatively new – I have just seen this on my blog, with a different theme to yours, and was trying to find a way to disable it – the effect is ghastly and it serves no useful purpose.
Frankly, it looks like someone has added a tacky pop-up whose sole purpose is to advertise for wordpress.com. Given that I am paying for this service, I am really unhappy with this change and the silent way it was added.
If anyone finds a way to disable this I would very grateful. If it is not possible then I be relocating my hosting elsewhere at the end of the year.

Answering my own question… if you have the custom CSS upgrade, you can add the following CSS to hide the pop-up:
#infinite-footer {
display:none;
} -
So, if you don’t pay, it’s just one of the ugly little things you have to put up with. Hm?
