  I need someone to change my mx records. My e-mail host has decided to change them, and while they informed us about the upgrade they were planning to their e-mails they didn’t tell us that they were changing the DNS. So I’m not receiving any incoming e-mail (and this is my professional e-mail which is even worse). The new mx records are not in the format accepted by wordpress so I cannot change them myself. The e-mail hosts are going to change the a records instead but this may mean my website goes offline

  The name servers are not set to WordPress.COM, that has broken your site. The name servers need to be set back to WordPress.COM for your site to work at all. See the section on name servers

  What are the MX records you need to change? If you post them between the code tags someone should be able to help you.

  I will also flag this for staff attention to help, however they are quite backed up at this point
