MX records pointing to Zoho Account

  • Unknown's avatar

I’ve setup an e-mail account with Zoho I have been unable to receive any e-mails. I’ve checked the control panel in their site and it states: The MX Records of your domain are not pointed to Zoho. You may not receive emails in Zoho. I have checked this in the Word Press domains section and from what I can tell I’ve done everything correct. Below I have included a screen shot from WordPress.com.

I would be very grateful if somebody can help me ASAP!

    Thanks

    Andrew

    Hello! Let’s troubleshoot this. :)

    Did you follow this guide?

    Manage Your DNS Records

I don’t see the screenshot you have included. Could you please link it? I’m tagging this thread for staff so they can look into it as well.

    Hi there

Yes I’ve tried that and followed instructions set out by WP and Zoho.

    Here’s what’s in my DNS:

    A darcycarpentry.com handled by WordPress.com
    NS darcycarpentry.com handled by WordPress.com
    CNAME *.darcycarpentry.com handled by WordPress.com
MX darcycarpentry.com mail handled by MX 10 mx.zohomail.com. with priority 10
MX darcycarpentry.com mail handled by MX 20 mx2.zohomail.com. with priority 20
    TXT darcycarpentry.com v=spf1 mx include:zoho.com ~all
    CNAME zb********.darcycarpentry.com alias of zmverify.zoho.com.

I have since added the txt line to see if that makes any difference

Hi! So I had a look through both the WordPress.com and the Zoho guides and your MX records look fine to me.

Could it just be that they are taking time to propagate? Your TTL on them is 60 minutes, so it could be just that the change hasn’t propagated to Zoho’s corner of the Internet yet.

    Thoughts?

    Hi there,

It looks like the MX records which you had entered were slightly incorrect. I went ahead and corrected those and in the next few hours your email should be up and running OK.

Let me know if it doesn’t or if you have any additional questions!

Thank you very much. It seems to be working fine now.
