I finally figured out what happened to my blog vlmcneill.blog.com. I did an interview with some journalism students at UNT here in Denton for a blog they were making for the City of Denton. They called it “Keeping Denton Local”. They featured my business, McNeill’s Appliance, and did audio, video and a great many pictures with a number of links that connected to my blog. I looked at it tonight, and it messes up when I try to connect with the links. It also makes a number of references to WordPress and it looks like they collaborated on the work. Please check this out. Thank you.

I am very grateful for this opportunity to talk about the problem I have been having with my blog. I especially want to thank Blog.com for the response about documentation and other issues that I recently got on the Internet. I listened to the instruction but believe the methods are too advanced for me as I don’t know where most of the help aids are located or how to use them. When I launched by Blog in 2011, I basically experimented with it and was able to teach myself how to use the media inserts and other features without any formal training. A few times I added some space just in case I had a need for that even though the messages I saw did not indicate that I needed more. I didn’t do anything for profit and just thoroughly enjoyed sharing my stories with friends and family. That is why I have been so saddened by the disappearance of the blog many months ago. What I want is its restoration if that is possible. If the right person is hearing this message, I would appreciate an acknowledgement on my e=mail at (email visible only to moderators and staff).

Digging a bit further, blog.com appears to be offline. Did you export your site’s content or have a backup file from blog.com before it went offline? If you have your export XML file, you might be able to import it to your existing WordPressdocom site using the WordPress import option. However any images will likely not be imported as the site blog.com cannot be accessed. Here is how you can import the XML file to your WordPressdotcom site: https://en.support.wordpress.com/import/
Let us know if you need more help with that import.
Here are some resources to get you started with your WordPressdotcom site once you get your XML file imported, or if you need to start fresh:
